The AD-8 Acoustic Guitar Processor can make any ordinary acoustic guitar sparkle and shine. The AD-8 Acoustic Guitar Processor uses COSM modeling technology to transform the piezo pickup sound of your typical acoustic guitar and turn it into one of six of the world's finest acoustic guitars. The 4 preset memory locations allow you to switch between acoustic guitar models swiftly and easily.
The AD-8 features 3 high-quality reverbs specifically tailored for acoustic guitars which include ambience, room and hall. The ambience reverb will give your guitar a sense of distance, similar to the sound obtained with off-mic recording. The room reverb will emulate reverb thats comparable to that of a recording studio. The hall reverb will provide you with reverb that can be acquired in a concert hall. The versatile AD-8 can also recreate the warm sound created by miking the guitar's neck and body with the body and string enhance control knobs.
Conveniently, the AD-8 includes an onboard chromatic tuner with mute function and quick pedal-based operation and an anti-feedback setting. With its 4-band EQ and presence control, it is easy to find the tone you desire.
The AD-8 allows you to plug directly into a PA system with its balanced XLR outputs but can also be plugged into a guitar amplifier.
Whether you're recording or playing live, the AD-8 will make your acoustic guitar sound like a dream.

Comments about Boss Ad-8 Acoustic Guitar Processor:
I am a performing guitarist, but a neophyte with guitar effects and effects units. I have rarely used effects in the past and never when performing, but found I needed more stage control over my EQ, so bought the AD8. This unit has a few major problems: 1. The tuner is not sensitive enough to pitch, so it is difficult to get an exact tune. 2. The unit burns through batteries, which gets expensive. 3. It doesn't come with a DCin, so I had to purchase that separately, and it imparts quite a nasty hum into our sound system. 4. There are too many effects dials that do the same thing without enough variation. In other words, they could have done the same thing with half the dials and reduced the overall size of the unit. That said, the effects sound good (except for the hum). 5. Like all Boss foot pedals, it's never sure the switch will happen when you step on it. 6. It is difficult to control feedback with this unit. 7. The memory isn't as large as I expected. You can only save four groups of settings, not forty. The EQ settings work well. But overall, not worth [$].
