Comments about Cordoba C5-CET Thinline Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:
I've been playing guitar for 50 years. Have had all types of guitars, electric, classical, etc., and have gone thru a lot of nylon string electrics. This guitar fits my needs for an instrument that is comfortable to sit with and easy to play. Pros: Light weight, thin body, good quality smooth-turning tuners, neck width just right, and 12 frets out from body instead of the usual 14, making it easier to reach the low positions. Has a truss rod in the neck. The neck is thin, not club-like. Unplugged it has a very pleasant tone, the cedar top gives it just the right timbre - warm, yet also dark and precise like typical cedar tops. Volume unplugged is pretty good for private practice, and in a acoustically live room would be even better. Action is OK enough, I'll fix it a bit lower the way I like later on. Truss rod will keep the neck straight and firm. I have not plugged it in, so cannot comment on that. I bought it purely for its acoustic properties, which suit me just fine.
I would recommend this guitar to anyone. Beginners, for sure, and even pro or advanced players who want a good instrument for practice. In the hands of an advanced player, this guitar could possibly be a near-pro level guitar. Take it from me and my huge experience, you will like this guitar. There are no cons on this one, just a lot of pros.
