Description

The Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster combines classic design with contemporary upgrades appealing to guitarists everywhere at all levels.

Designed by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Greg Fessler, the Classic Player '60s Stratocaster offers classic and contemporary elements with 1960s-era Strat style and fine features such as custom ’69 pickups with modern switching, the comfortable feel of a modern neck profile and flatter rosewood fingerboard, classic two-point synchronized tremolo bridge and much more.

Not too short, not too tall. Not too wide, not too narrow. On a guitar fingerboard, medium jumbo frets are the “Goldilocks” size - just right for any sound and playing style. This instrument features a fingerboard radius (the amount of curvature across the width of the fingerboard) that, at 12”, is substantially more flattened than both a vintage-style 7.25” radius and a modern 9.5” radius. Feels notably flat even though there’s still slight curvature, and is ideal for bending notes without fretting out. The neck of this instrument has a comfortable “C” profile (the shape of the neck in cross section), sculpted to impart a vintage-style playing feel from Fender’s first golden age in the 1950s and ’60s. The most prevalent neck profile shape, it’s remarkably comfortable and is ideal for all playing styles.

The Classic Player 60s Stratocaster features the superior sparkle—and perhaps even scream—of three specially voiced Custom ’69 single-coil Strat pickups that produce the full, punchy tone that defined rock in the late ’60s. They deliver a warm, vintage-style sound with balanced output and volume. Get authentic original-era style and reliable modern performance from the upgraded two-point synchronized tremolo bridge on this Stratocaster, which features vintage-style stamped steel saddles. As if this instrument’s innate coolness and terrific features aren’t enough, it’s also designed by the acclaimed master builders of the Fender Custom Shop. Deluxe gig bag included.

  • Maple neck with “C” profile
  • 12”-radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets
  • Three custom ’69 single-coil Stratocaster pickups with five-way switching

Comments about Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I have owned many quality guitars over the last 30 years, and this Strat ranks right up there with the best of them. I had intentions of buying a new Deluxe Strat, but I just could not put this Classic Player Strat down. The sound of the pickups is phenominal, rich, creamy, full bodied, unlike any other Strat that I have played. It's like having a Les Paul and a Strat in the same guitar. Great looks and great build quality too. It may not be made in America, but it is just as good as the American Strats that I have played. I recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a full sounding electric guitar.

Comments about Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Completely playable right off the shelf; the pickups are amazing, no buzz, the neck is easy to work, and the finish is outstanding. You can pay more, but why would you? This guitar is the best value that Fender offers.
