One of the most powerful and versatile bass amps Fender has ever created, the Super Bassman is a stadium-level 300-watt tube head designed for the biggest shows and the largest stages, with enormous Fender bass sound and sparkling vintage Fender looks. Perfect for stage and studio alike, its dual-channel design uses modern technology to maximize classic technology, with classic Fender late-’60s/early-’70s “blackface” styling and a wealth of innovative features on the front and rear panels.
Features include a tube preamp (two 12AX7s) and power amp (one 12AX7, one 12AT7, six 6550s); Vintage channel that delivers the full, warm sound of a classic Fender passive tone stack; Overdrive channel that delivers the aggressive and responsive sound of a modern active tone stack (choose between channels with included footswitch); rear-panel Fender Automatic Bias system that constantly monitors and re-biases tubes for perfect performance and alerts you when service is required; Speaker Output switch that can be set to “Mute” to turn speaker off and record silently using preamp tone from the XLR output; Impedance switch (8, 4 or 2 ohms) and master volume control with push/pull mute.

Comments about Fender Super Bassman Bass Amplifier Head:
When I unboxed the amp head there was a tag attached to the front that stated it was a 100 watt head with 4 6L6 tubes. I was astonished because I ordered a Super Bassman head. As it turned out it was indeed a 300 watt head. It was labeled wrong. After setting it up on my newly ordered grilless 810 cab the amp wound not play. I checked and double checked every connection. I had the volumn at three along with all other knobs at that position. I didn't hear a sound until I cranked it up to 7. Not good. After talking to the salesman who was extremely helpful and very courteous I told him I would request a refund for the cab since I couldn't get the issue of the grille resolved and that I would keep the head. After our conversation I went back to my room to do more adjustments on the amp since it wasn't playing anywhere near as loud as my other fender equipment the amp made a very loud pop. That's it. It's all going back. This is the worst experience I have ever had With Fender or any other company for that matter. I own a Hartke Kilo, 1 LH 1000's. 2 Hydrive 810 cabs, a Fender 300 pro and 810 Pro cab (the best by far) a Sunn Model T, 2 Sunn BH 115 cabs and a Sunn300T. Sam Ash is a fine company to deal with and they have an excellent staff. I will not go through this again. Sorry Sam Ash.
