Description

Get the best of both worlds - analog and digital – with the Roland JD-Xi Analog Digital Crossover Synthesizer!

The Roland JD-Xi puts a true analog synth engine, Roland’s famous SuperNATURAL synth sounds, and many other creative tools at your fingertips and all under one hood.

Analog Meets Digital
The Roland JD-xi Crossover Synth lets you unleash your musical ideas without the constraints of creating exclusively in the digital or analog domain. With its 37 mini keys, the JD-Xi generates those fat, rich, warm tones associated with those famed Roland synths you’ve come to know and love, right alongside the clarity and versatility of modern digital signature sounds you need to cut through any mix, like horns, leads and many more.

Four-Track Pattern Sequencer w/Gooseneck Mic for Vocoder, AutoPitch, and Other Vocal Effects
Its integrated drum kits and Four-Track Pattern Sequencer lets you create tons of inspiring loops; real-time and step recording modes are provided, along with a special TR-REC mode for programming in the style of Roland’s classic TR-series beatboxes. It’s easy to play patterns and tweak sounds as you perform, and many preset patterns are built in for jamming right out of the box, while the Vocoder (with gooseneck mic) and Auto Pitch correction lets your musical imagination run wild with no strings attached. Roland has even included a way-cool "Auto Note" function that allows you to “sing” JD-Xi synth sounds without touching the keyboard!

Gimme Da’ Beatz!
The JD-Xi is jam packed with dynamic drum kits in different flavors to suit any taste or mood. The kits are completely programmable and can be filtered envelope, pitch, and pan parameters right on down to individual drum sounds. Even the drum instruments are assignable and you can quickly identify each with its instrument type conveniently labeled above the keys.

Shape Sounds with Impressive Effects
The JD-Xi includes four simultaneous effects sections for enhancing any sound. Effect 1 and 2 provide selectable processing options such as Bit Crusher, Slicer, and Ring Mod, while dedicated Delay and Reverb sections make it easy to envelop sounds in spacious ambience. Each effects section can be turned on/off separately for the three synth sections and drums, allowing you to shape your mix with many creative combinations

Features:
  • Interactive crossover synthesizer with analog and digital sound engines
  • Analog synth section provides authentic lead and bass tones
  • Two digital synth sections with SuperNATURAL synth tones and 128-voice total polyphony
  • Four-track pattern sequencer and high-quality rhythm sounds

This is the perfect system for vintage synth tones. Great affordable price and easy to use. I have had many newer synths and none have compared to the quality of tones and offered features in one keyboard. This is a hands on review from eric @ Sam Ash Music Cincinnati.

Comments about Roland Jd-Xi Analog Digital Crossover Synthesizer:

I am in love with this synth. I can control fat basslines and tweak melodies instantaneously. A built in vocoder, live looper, auto-pitch, oscillator... the possiblities are endless, even for the amatuer musician looking to sound pro.

This has been a real hands on review from Keelan@ Sam Ash New Haven.

Comments about Roland Jd-Xi Analog Digital Crossover Synthesizer:

Roland's new JD-XI is an analog-digital hybrid synth that invites immediate comparisons to the venerable MicroKorg -- from the mini-sized keys to the built-in vocoder and included gooseneck microphone. But Roland has added a few tricks of their own to differentiate the JD-XI from Korg's equivalent - most notably a pattern sequencer for drums and synth sounds that enables electronic musicians to quickly and intuitively create sketches of beats and songs. In addition to the warm analog oscillator and filter, Roland has included several "real" sounds such as grand pianos and organs to round out the sonic pallette on this very cool, versatile product. Highly recommended.

This is a real hands-on product review from Caleb at Sam Ash White Plains.

Roland's new JD-XI hybrid analog/digital synth immediately invites comparisons to the venerable MicroKorg - from its mini-size keys to the built-in vocoder. Roland has added some tricks of their own, though - a pattern sequencer for drums and synth sounds makes it easy for electronic musicians to begin composing original tracks right on the synth, without need for a computer or other recording setup. And "real" sounds like pianos and organs round out the versatile synth tones. Overall, this is an awesome little synth!

    Best Of Both Worlds

    By

    from Canoga Park, CA

Comments about Roland Jd-Xi Analog Digital Crossover Synthesizer:

This is a true analogue, digital hybrid. There are a wide range of sounds, so it will work for anything from dubstep to rock music. It's small and light weight so you can carry it around with you on the road. The vocoder adds a ton more options, adding to its versatility.
