Description

A no-frills Les Paul that doesn't sacrifice tone, performance or playability: the Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded 2016 T Electric Guitar.

The Les Paul Studio Faded features a solid maple top on a modern weight-relieved mahogany body. In an effort to reduce the potential excessive weight, portions of the mahogany body have been strategically scooped out to maximize comfort; as well as enhancing acoustic qualities and improving resonance & sustain. The addition of a maple top gives players the familiar tonewood combination that produces that classic Les Paul sound.  The vintage-style, faded satin finishes cater to the Les Paul Studio Faded 2016 T's classic vibe.

A comfortable mahogany neck with a '59 rounded neck profile gives you the best of both worlds--it's slimmer than the traditional neck, yet thicker than the '60s SlimTaper profile. The neck is capped with a rosewood fingerboard that boasts traditional trapezoid inlays to lend to the Les Paul's unmistakable identity.

The Les Paul Studio Faded 2016 T comes equipped with a pair of Gibson Burstbucker Pro Pickups pickups to dish out that powerful PAF-style bite and growl that you've come to expect from a Les Paul. This modern day classic comes loaded with a set of vintage-style tuning machines along with a classic Tune-O-Matic bridge/stopbar tailpiece combo for maximum sustain and performance. Gibson Gig Bag included.

Get your Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded 2016 T Electric Guitar today at the guaranteed lowest price from Sam Ash Direct with our 45-day return and 60-day price protection policy.

This is a no nonsense workhorse Les Paul. The neck profile is great, and the tone is what you would expect in a standard Les Paul. Is that bad? Or is that amazing that the consistency is still there? For all its understated looks, the guitar looks stylish in person and just begs to be played. The price is right and the tone calls your name.

Great playing guitar, the neck profile is in between the 50's and 60's style necks giving you the best of both styles. The worn finish looks great and holds up well night after night. Classic Gibson look and tone. Great for a working musician.

      Gibson in back in 2016

      By

Gibson had a slight fall off over the past year or so so I was weary about the newest 2016 models....and boy was I impressed. The new 2016 studios are amazing. Burst bucker Pros lead to an amazing full tone and the '50s neck give you a sturdy neck. The wood grain on the maple top look beautiful. Definitely a must have Gibson for any guitar player.

Many people think Gibson only sells ridiculous expensive guitars. This is untrue. The faded series is priced very well, and has specs that match up favorably to guitars almost double the price. It has a beautiful finish. I like the red, personally. The pickups are the same as the Studio models that are $1500. It also comes with a nice gig bag. It's a great buy if you want a USA made Gibson.

I did a huge amount of homework before deciding on this guitar. Very versatile. Sweet, soulful sounds and Les Paul character throughout whether playing blues, rock or metal. Love this guitar, and I've owned Fenders, ESP, Schecter and Ibanez guitars. This is by far my favorite.
