The LL16D features all-solid Rosewood back and sides with a hand-selected premium Engelmann Spruce top and abalone binding. The combination of these tried-and-true tonewoods produce a tone that is balanced and articulate, with warmth to spare. A modified non-scalloped bracing design retains the L series’ characteristic bright tone while enhancing low-end tone. The rosewood and mahogany 5-ply neck is carved into a comfortable slim profile. This traditional style offers stable grip and smooth playability over the full length of the neck.
Newly designed bracing pattern and A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) treatment create rich warmth and open resonance while maintaining excellent tone balance which makes this guitar fit in a band perfectly. A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is an original wood reforming technology developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years.
In addition, Yamaha's SRT Zero impact pickup ensure you a stress-free performance on stage. Includes hardshell case.

Comments about Yamaha Ll16d Are Acoustic Electric Guitar (Natural):
It was love at first sight/play with this guitar. Hard to imagine how Yamaha did it, superb sound, easy playability, beautiful woods used etc. After some play time however, I started noticing flaws that were really unacceptable in the finish, especially along the neck binding. It was so bad in some light that I had to return the guitar. Where was the QC on this. I've since seen other models of the LL16 with similar issues. What a shame really. If they missed the obvious on the outside, what was the inside like?? I didn't stick around to find out!!
