Description

The Kawai MP11 has an authentic keyboard, realistic sounds and articulate control – an uncompromising stage piano for music professionals. Classic acoustics, tine, reed & modern electric keyboards plus unparalleled digital FX & processing features.

At the heart of the MP11 lies the beautiful sound of the Kawai EX concert grand piano, widely regarded by professional pianists and piano technicians as one of the finest instruments within its class, taking center stage in the world’s most prestigious musical institutions and concert halls.

further details on the Kawai MP11 Stage Piano

The rich harmonic character of the EX Concert grand is preserved in the Kawai MP11, not by stretching the one recorded key over several different notes, but by recording each key individually, at various different volumes and dynamics.

The MP11’s effects system has also been completely rewritten in order to take full advantage of this additional processing power. While most stage pianos offer a handful of effects and limited control, the MP provides over 100 effects (sorted by category), with a wide range of tweakable parameters. Effects can be applied to each sound section independently, with EPs afforded two separate effects blocks for greater flexibility.

SKILLFUL VIRTUAL TECHNICIAN
The knowledge and skill of an experienced piano technician is essential to bring out the best of a fine acoustic piano. In addition to meticulously tuning each note, the technician also performs numerous regulation and voicing adjustments that allow the instrument to truly sing, while the Voicing parameter adjusts the overall tonal character of the piano throughout the dynamic range, from a soft, mellow sound, to a very dynamic, bright sound.

CLASSIC AMP SIMULATIONS
The MP11 includes an amp simulator in the E.PIANO section, helping to fatten the sound with analogue warmth, using five distinctive speaker cabinet types. The MP11 also provides dedicated frequency and tone adjustments, plus extensive control over the amplifier's drive, volume levels and even the kind of microphone, positioning and ambiance levels used with the amp.

Comments about Kawai MP11 88-Key Digital Stage Piano:

From the moment I began to play the Kawai MP-11, I knew that I would never need or want to own any other piano. The concert grand piano sound that Kawai has provided is at once exciting and enveloping; there are opportunities for sound adjustment as well. The wooden keys are touch sensitive ( you can opt for a light, normal or heavy tough) and truly provide the sensory experience of a grand piano.
The MP-11 sits on a stand in my living room. I use studio speakers when I want to share my music with others and also listen via headphones (this provides a wonderful quality of sound as well).
I have thus far played only classical pieces and I have not yet fully investigated all of the MP-11's capabilities. However, I it is comforting to know that technical assistance is available at Kawai to walk you through all of the possibilities.
