Description

The MXL-V67G sports a gold plated round grill and distinctive vintage brass body design. It was designed for vocals, so this mic will surely stand out in any crowd. The V67G sounds as golden as its looks. Its 1" gold sputtered, 6-micron diaphragm, FET preamp and transformer balanced output combine to create an open, vintage sound. The double screen, round grill, also helps to produce a smooth, even frequency response. It comes complete with stand adapter.

Comments about MXLV67G Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

I have used this mic with Pro-tools with no problems, so hard to figure why it would sound bad with M-Audio stuff. I use it for vocals when I need something with a bit of an edge. It's not a U87, but it sure is great for the money. (I hate the color though)

      Cool Wicket Beans!

Comments about MXLV67G Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

"What I like about this mic, dynamic interfacing with both live and home studio use. Clarity is an issue when it comes to recording through a computer sound card. So much that by gating the vox before the mix through tube compressions, I get a warm replay of the vox without using any plug ins. M2o"

      Amazing!

Comments about MXLV67G Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

"I have only been recording for about a year, using whatever I could find. I ended up buying a little Behringer mixer and after unsuccessfully trying to record my guitar and vocals, I decided I better get a decent mic if I'm ever going to make a serious recording. I did a lot of reading, and then ended up buying this mic without having read a single review, based on reviews of other MXL mics and a strong recommenation from on of Sam Ash's friendly employees. I can't begin to tell you the difference this thing has made. I have never recorded with a condenser mic before, but if you are making home recordings and, like me, you don't know much about it and you can't spend a ton of money, get this thing as soon as you can. You'll need a pre-amp or mixer with phantom power, but you can get one for as little as $40. That's a near studio quality recording setup for less than $200! (Assuming you already have a PC or multi-track, which I'm assuming anyone looking at this review will). Highly recommended."

"Great vocal mic for the price, you can`t go wrong with this one"

Comments about MXLV67G Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

"After a week of using the mic, I am quite pleased with the vocal sound quality. I have done thousands of hours of recording studio time logged in many studios using all the heavy weights in the price range of $1000 - $3000. While someone can find a few minor differences with this mic, for $[...], this mic kicks butt! I recommend the ART TUBE preamp Studio V3 to go with it. The tube preamp really warms up the mix! [...]
