Comments about Promark Mjz7 Jazz Cafe Maple Wood Tip Drumsticks:

These sticks are extremely durable. I received 6 pairs of these great sticks for Christmas in 2007 & these are my main go-to sticks. They are suitable for playing fast-tempo jazz grooves, as well as drum-n-bass styles. They bring out cymbal sounds well, but not as fully as a large-tipped stick. The price is right on these sticks from Sam Ash.

The rebounding effect is great, since you can play jazz patterns at lightning fast tempos. I use mine for rapid playing in drum n' bass grooves, and freehand style techniques & these are the only ones that are consistent. I've hit rims by accident really hard & these held up so far, no stripping or cracks. Maple wood is light so these babies fly! I certainly hope & pray that Promark continues making these fine sticks, [...]
