Having the switches up front makes all the difference in the world (unlike some other brands out there - what sense does it make to have the switches in a location that is only accesible when the unit is pulled out of your rack?!). The extra $[...] for this unit is well worth it to have the switches up front. This is the lowest costing patch bay with the switches up front I've been able to find.
