Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 is ideal for producers, recording artists, multi-instrumentalists and small bands that want to record vocals, guitar and keyboards simultaneously. All the Ins and Outs you need
Two combination inputs with Scarlett mic preamps, line level inputs and high headroom instrument inputs let you record any combination of instruments or vocals. Connect your synths, keyboards or mixers into two additional line inputs on the rear panel, and connect any equipment with digital I/O to the SPDIF inputs to record six simultaneous channels at once.
Two headphone outputs let you send individual headphone mixes to two artists, or an engineer and artist, while four balanced jack outputs let you connect to both studio monitors and outboard gear. With MIDI In and Out, you can also integrate your favourite hardware synths with your DAW.
New Generation - Better in every way
The second generation Scarlett range is packed full of upgrades. New super-low latency* will bring confidence to your performance, letting you record and monitor with software effects in real time. New metal gain controls and a sleeker red metal chassis reassure you of its improved industrial design, built to go anywhere. The Scarlett range also now operates at sample rates all the way up to 192kHz, and the input channels have evolved too.
The latest Scarlett mic preamp features a more even gain structure, so you can accurately set your levels, and the instrument input has also been completely redesigned so it can handle seriously hot guitar pick-ups. Finally, Focusrite have provided analogue protection circuitry across both the inputs and the outputs, to guard your interface against unwanted power surges.
* Super-low roundtrip latency was measured at 2.74ms, working at 96kHz with a 32 samples buffer on Logic Pro X, running on a Mac Pro and OS 10.11
Intuitive Mix Control and all the software you need
Scarlett 6i6 is compact and tough enough to take to your live shows for onstage recording or playback. The included 'Focusrite Control' is a brand new software mixer for easy configuration of monitoring and routing setups. Simple and intuitive to use, Focusrite Control offers a traditional mixer workflow and allows immediate access to internal hardware functions.
Also included is the software and effects you need; an exclusive version of Pro Tools | First Focusrite Creative Pack (featuring 12 additional plug-ins including the Eleven Lite for real life guitar amp emulations), Ableton Live Lite, the Softube Time and Tone Bundle, Focusrite's Red Plug-In Suite, 2GB of Loopmasters samples and more.
AVID PRO TOOLS | FIRST
Included with every Scarlett 2nd Gen audio interface, Pro Tools | First brings you all the main features and workflow of the industry standard Pro Tools 12 in an entry level music making package designed to get the novice producer, instrumentalist or singer-songwriter up and recording in no time.
FOCUSRITE CREATIVE PACK
Also bundled with your Scarlett 2nd Gen audio interface, the Focusrite Creative Pack adds 12 powerful plugins to Pro Tools | First, all taken from Avid’s acclaimed Eleven Rack.
Awesome guitar tones are just a few clicks away with Eleven Lite, Focusrite’s exclusive cut-down edition of the Eleven MK II amp simulator. And if that doesn’t give you the edge and bite you’re after, follow it up with Black Op Distortion, a superb emulation of the Pro Co Rat pedal. Another classic stomp box reborn in software, Gray Compressor delivers the easy dynamics shaping of the Ross Compressor, and makes the perfect partner to the five-band Graphic EQ.
Focusrite Creative Pack doesn’t skimp on the more out-there signal processing, either, with Flanger, Vibe Phaser, Roto Speaker and Sci-Fi Ring Modulator serving up a spectacular range of mind-bending modulation-based treatments.Topping the collection off are the speed-up/slow-down effects of Vari-Fi Speed Shifter, the classy algorithmic ambience of Studio Reverb, the old-school delays of Tape Echo and – last but by no means least – the essential utility of InTune Digital Tuner.

Comments about Focusrite Scarlett 6I6 Usb Audio Interface (2Nd Gen):
I generally try to follow the "if it ain't broke" philosophy with my studio setup at home, but I've been using an old Line 6 interface since 2007, so it was time for an upgrade.
The unit looks great, and the knobs and switches are all crisp and don't feel cheap. It worked great after the driver installation, and feels like it drives both my headphones and studio monitors to a level of clarity my previous interface did not. I've seen some reviews saying they got lemons or had issues with the drivers, but I have not had any problems on either front so far on my laptop with Windows 10. I've plugged up my guitar, mics, e-drum kit, and midi controller and everything feels like it has low latency and is very responsive.
The Focusrite Control software does take a little getting used to at first. It's only needed for changing a setting or routing audio differently, so for my general practice/demo recording setup where I just need audio inputs routed to monitors and headphones, I don't use it as much as I thought I would need to.
This leads me to the other thing that is particularly cool about this unit: it is wall powered, so it does not require a USB connection to work. What this means for me is my laptop does not have to be in my studio if I want to switch the monitors on and jam out through the guitar, or if I want to use my studio as a de facto multimedia center for TV or a movie. To change settings, you just have to plug the unit back into the computer and load the control software. I can imagine this being a little clunky if I were going to be taking it to gigs, but for my purposes, it's really not time consuming or difficult.
The only other thing I would mention is that installing *all* of the bundled software/free plugins takes a while. For me it's a sweet deal to get Addictive Keys, Softube plugins, and the Focusrite plugin for free since I use VSTs in nearly every recording, but even without them the unit by itself is well worth the money in my opinion.
