Washburn has been building banjos since the late 1800s, and were considered to be some of the finest of their day. The Washburn B6 faithfully carrys on the heritage of it's handcrafted predecessors. The Washburn B6 6-String banjo is tuned to E standard, just like a guitar, making it possible for guitarists to play the banjo without having to learn all new chord fingerings and tunings. The B6 features an open back design and comes equipped with a cast aluminum tone ring and a Remo Banjo head to allow its twangy tone to fully project. The tension of the banjo head can easily be fine-tuned with the 18 tension brackets. The 27.5” scale neck of the B6 is constructed from stained light-brown/buffed gloss Mahogany and houses an 18-fret Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays for the ultimate comfort and playability.
The B6 boasts a natural matte finish and chrome hardware including a chrome standard tailpiece and chrome diecast tuning machines. The bridge of the B6 features a Maple base with an Ebony tip. Case not included.
