The Westerly Collection pays homage to Guild's early history renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and for the introduction of many beloved Guild acoustics. Inspired by this golden era, all Guild Westerly Collection guitars feature premium all solid woods and a lightweight Guild case at an affordable price.

With its comfortable body and distinctive voice, the M-120E provides excellent balance and a delicate tone. The Fishman Sonitone pickup allows for expert amplification of this small-bodied guitar's incredibly rich sound. Additional features include an Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, NuBone nut and saddle, and period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard. A mother-of-pearl rosette and Guild's iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s models complete the package. Pros

  • Fishman electronics sound great. Beautiful tone

Cons

    Best Uses

This parlor guitar has an incredibly big and well-balanced sound. Intonation is perfect and the action feels great. The guitar looks an sounds beautiful. I spent a long time searching for just the right one. Because of an old shoulder injury, I need a smaller guitar. I look at the Taylor GS mini in Koa and Mahogany. They both sounded excellent but when I picked up this Guild, I knew this was it. It has a midrange that is nicely balanced . I found the Taylors to have a slightly darker and tighter sound. I like the more expansive quality that seemed to be the characteristic of the Guild.

I've been very pleased with the M-120LE (I'm left-handed). I love the warm tone on the smaller body, which is a lot of fun to play with if you're looking for something different than a dread. It's all solid mahogany for a great price and is a great counter to the arguments of only buying American-made guitars. Looking forward to putting some great miles on it.
