This was my first music instrument for my daughter as part of her school curriculum. It was very good product. Matthew helped me a lot when I visited the store (King Of Prussia, PA) and explained clearly about the instrument based on my needs. So far so good... I suggest this is a good instrument for beginners as well as who has little knowledge about other music instruments.

Doesn't seem like the best or nicest looking violin that you can buy online at its price point, but you should feel more comfortable buying from Sam Ash then other websites as their costomer service is excellent. They were instantly ready to fix or replace the violin when I described an issue that came up. That being said, I have deffinately enjoyed my time with this violin. As a total begginer, it doesn't feel like I'm playing on a "fake" or copy of an instrument. It feels and sounds like what I thought of a violin.

Overall a great starter violin. Double check the bow though. Mine was severely crooked/warped, but I took it in and they gave me a new one with no hassle. Will be back once I feel like I've earned a better violin.
