M-Audio Interfaces and Keyboard Controllers
Engineer and synthesizer developer Tim Ryan founded Midi Soft in 1998, changing the name to Midiman due to legal issues. Midiman became an early leader in MIDI products, progressing into A/D and D/A converters then, ultimately, to their first audio interface, the "DMAN 2044." In 2002, Midiman introduced their Oxygen keyboard controller and the Studiophile studio monitors, now broadening their position in the recording market. Changing their name to M-Audio, their progress brought them to Avid Technology, whose ProTools software was a perfect match for M-Audio’s products. M-Audio focused its product development to home studios, creating portable MIDI devices and Audio Interfaces, gathering new users by bundling powerful ProTools Express and Ignite software with many of their products. M-Audio continues to expand its line of keyboard and pad controllers for USB and MIDI, recording control surfaces, Audio Interfaces and studio monitors, offering more features and affordability for users of all levels with Oxygen-Series Keyboard and Pad Controllers, their even more-affordable, entry-level Keystation MIDI keyboards and their feature-laden Axiom Keyboard Controllers. As Sam Ash continues to provide products to serve growing studios, engineers and musicians, M-Audio shows no signs of stopping, keeping quality and affordability within the reach of all users.
