Prior to purchasing my Cordoba C9 Parlor guitar, I owned a Taylor GS Mini, so I was looking for a smaller size guitar with nylon strings. I tried the Cordoba Cadete 3/4 Size, Cordoba C5 CET Slimmer Body, Cordoba C7 Full Size, and Cordoba F7 Paco. The first guitar I tried, the Cordoba Cadete 3/4 Size, felt too small. The Cordoba Cadete 3/4 Size is smaller than my Taylor GS Mini. The second guitar I tried, the Cordoba C5 CET with its slimmer body and thinner neck was very easy to play. However, I felt that its slimmer body compromised its sound. The third guitar I tried, the Cordoba C7, was a full size and its sound was beautiful. However, I did feel like the full-size was just a little too big for me. The fourth guitar I tried, the Cordoba F7 Paco, was extremely light and easy to play, but I wasn't planning to learn flamenco and its frets buzzed too much for my liking. The slightly smaller size of the Cordoba C9 Parlor was the perfect guitar for me. Although the D string of my new Cordoba C9 Parlor broke off three-days after I purchased the guitar, Sam Ash's staff quickly replaced the D string on my new guitar. The C9 Parlor comes with Cordoba's polyfoam case, which is NOT a Humicase. Although Cordoba's polyfoam case is beautiful, the case is heavy and has flimsy, back straps. I wish Cordoba would make a lighter polyfoam case with more durable straps. I could not be happier with my Cordoba C9 Parlor guitar.
