The Ibanez JV50 pack centers on the Ibanez Dreadnought style guitar with a spruce top and meranti back and sides with a high-gloss natural finish. The guitar also features a black and white multi rosette, chrome tuners and an Ivorex II nut and saddle. The Ivorex II nut is stronger and more durable than bone and even harder than the original Ivorex. The Ivorex II nut allows brilliant highs and more pronounced lows with less mid-range. Good Guitar for its price

I'm a beginner and I haven't played for a long time so I just want to have a not so fancy but decent guitar plus it came with extra accessories so I'm happy with it. Plus I got the $20 dollar if you sign up to SamAsh.. Thank You SamAsh

I really like this starter package.

I am really new to guitar. As far as I can tell, this sounds really good. I like it. It feels good. Sorry, can't really be more specific than that.

The Perfect Beginner Guitar, that you'll never leave.

I purchased this guitar as a novice with the assistance of my friend who has been playing for years along with the help of one of the salespeople. I tried many different brands and came to the conclusion that this would be the one. It just hit a home run out of the box. I tuned it up ( thanks Snark ) and started onto my first chord. A few things do need to addressed, the strings are not the best quality on the stock unit. I've used different brands which is a good thing ( I finalized with a set from Elixer ), you need to find the brand and gauge that fits your style of playing. The Bridge, started to groove bad in about 2 weeks. I replaced it with a GraphTec TUSQ bridge ( black - personal preference ), what a difference. I also ( personal preference) replaced the nut and pins with GraphTec ( black ) for look and sound. After the installation of the above items, along with some tweaking of the neck bow, I would put this guitar up against a good Martin any day. Seriously. I have now been on the same unit for the past 7 months, this is my guitar for life.

All reviews are correct buy this.

I finally got this guitar. All reviews on all sites are correct. This is the best value out there for a starter pack.I am an adult beginner The guitar is great. I got it online from Sam Ash and it arrived ready to play out of the box all I did was tune a little and play.It was near in tune just tweaked it.It has low action very comfortable and easy to play with no fret issues or intonation at all.Beautiful finish no defects found at all.YOU MUST BUY THIS GUITAR.The gig back is ok till you can get a good one but isn't great or won't last long, tuner is really good and the accessory pouch is a nice add I would have liked to have a foot stool instead of the lame strap it is made to fit a child or teen. They even give you an extra saddle(nubone)and bridge pin(for strings)as well as truss rod tool and instructions to adjust your guitar even though I didn't need to if you do I recommend reading these instructions as it fully explains how to do adjustments, change strings ect. This is also the second Ibanez I own there quality is great(I also have the Ibanez mikro SG)After lots of research of starter/beginner acoustic packs (Silvertone,Squier SA-100,Fender FA-100,Epiphone AJ 100 and DR 100) this was the best one to go with and I see why people rave about this guitar pack it is the best for the money all around.BUT IT BUY IT BUY IT!!!

Better than expected

I got this guitar because I wanted to start playing but didn't have a lot of money at my disposal. I was surprised at the quality of this guitar, even my friends who have been playing guitar for years said it was one if the nicest guitars they have seen. The only complaint is that the gig bag that came with it is (slowly) falling apart. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who wants to start playing but doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

All reviews of this guitar are right

After reading all reviews of this guitar pack from all music sites.I went into Sam Ash quickly before work the other day looking around.I finally saw this guitar on display I had to try it out. All reviews of it are correct it's great. As an adult (45)trying to learn to play. This guitar has low action and a very comfortable neck. The sound is warm and mellow similar to the Yamaha F335.I loved playing it. I tried a few others a Carlo Robelli (80.00) and a Fender DG8 (blem for 150.00)Fender sounded good but I liked the playability and neck of the Ibanez. The Carlo Robelli was cheaply made and sounded cheap wasn't comfortable to play at all even with low action. The Ibanez is a well made good guitar for the money. The other stuff it comes with is mediocre it's the guitar that truely matters here. Bottom line BUY IT!!! I will be getting this and the Epiphone Les Paul Studio I also tried out(worn cherry) next week.

Great Sound for low money

I bought this guitar pack as a Chritmas present for my dad after reading reviews here on SAMASH[@]. I did not get to play my self until after the holidays. I was really suprised by the great tone it had. I did not try the one i bought for my dad but a floor model at a Sam Ash while shopping for another guitar for my self. I tried several higher ($350+) priced guitars there that day and this guitar sounded eaqually great in comparison. The tone is full and rich and the action is pretty good. The fit and finish were very good and you can't beat the price. Toss the tuner and spend $15 for a decent one. If your new to guitar, this would be a great choice, save the money you would spend on a more expensive guitar and spend that on having better quality strings and a set up done specific to your tastes and you will enjoy playing it more and it will play easier for you. I would definetly recommend this guitar.

My girlfriend's birthday was in November and I just started showing her some chords and what not. I didn't want to buy her a $800 or a piece of crud. I only picked this because of the reviews and because I had an electric Ibanez and loved it. This was a superb guitar for the price, [$]! Of coarse you should tune it every time you pick it up because it will need it. I usually find myself retuning it every hour or so if playing it constantly, which is awesome. When playing and the thinness of the neck, it feels like a much more expensive guitar. Like someone else said, the accessories it came with are cheaply made, but expected. For god sake, go buy a decent tuner with the money your saving by buying this. People just starting out will have enough trouble tuning this thing with an expensive tuner, don't let them use this cruddy one. My girl broke one of the strings trying to tune it the first day. The good news, new strings, different equipment, this is an awesome guitar.

Not bad for the price

Not a bad guitar for the price. The action is a tad high, but nothing that is too bad. I like light strings and the ones included are medium. Overall package is of good quality. The gig bag is VERY basic. You'll probably need to get a better one. It has a real nice tone. Very happy with this purchase.
