A vintage-inspired parlor acoustic at an affordable price: the Gretsch G9511 Style 1 Single-0 "Parlor" Acoustic Guitar.

Rich in voice and subtle in style, Gretsch Roots Collection Acoustic Guitars represent a level of design, detail and craftsmanship not seen since days long gone.

Inspired by tradition, yet rooted in pure Gretsch sensibility, these instruments speak with voices that harken back to a bygone era of "living room" choruses and prairie melodies.

Offering the best in class and craft, the G9511 Style 1 Single-0 guitar delivers a pristine, yet intimate voice that is full and silky without the "boxy" or  "tubby" overtones common in this body size.

Best Uses

I wanted a new parlor size acoustic to replace my poorly aging Yamaha CSF-60. Figured I already had a good case for it, so I went shopping.... Cost was a factor, and I couldn't believe the quality features Gretsch put on this model for the price. Bone nut and saddle? Vintage-style tuners? Super-smooth, satin finished neck? Total thumbs up! The promo videos from Gretsch are spot on. This little guitar sounds great, especially when fingerpicked or gently strummed with a pick. Every string rings out clear as a bell. Love the tone! Minor cosmetic issues are my only complaint. A little sloppiness with the finish along the neck/body binding. Close your eyes and you'd never know.
