Good keyboard but not for me
Actually, I returned this keyboard. The menu system was just to complicated for me. Sam Ash is a good seller regardless and the keyboard was excellent otherwise.

I've had this CTX 5000 for two weeks now and I'm very pleased with my choice. The stock sounds are acceptable but the unit really shines when you begin editing and storing new programs. I purchased this unit as a side keyboard for my Korg Krome 88 workstation. I have to say that some of the tones the CTX produces are better than the Kromes.

Top shelf keyboard and a bottom shelf price you can't go wrong The AW830 is an excellent keyboard for the Money. It has some very very well made and beautiful voices as well as some voices that sound kind of poorly but you get that with even the most expensive of keyboards. The keys feel firm with a strong Spring action the key bed all in all feels very good better than and $1100 keyboard that I have whose company begins with the letter C lol. Medeli Started their company by making key beds for all the other keyboard companies and then decided to start manufacturing their own instruments many people do not know that. Anyway this keyboard has features that you won't find on other manufacturers costing much more than this one such as auto accompany meant with 4 variations that is unheard of at this price point. There is also 2 choices for endings and much more that I don't have time to go into here but I will be doing a YouTube video review because 1 is sorely needed for this wonderful keyboard. All and all you will not go wrong and if you are buying this keyboard because you just don't have enough money to get something else you will not be disappointed and you will not feel like you settled you will have a quality instrument with wonderful tones and wonderful rhythms that are very up-to-date and useful unlike some of the child like rhythms you will find in the big name keyboards that is 1 of the reasons why I love this company and their keyboards. I hope this has helped you decide what to do God-bless you all have a wonderful day.

really streamlines use of creating songs at home, has tons of tones which means less work looking in my presets in my DAW, really awesome.

Key factor for me, 15watt speaker x 2. Downside: Out of the box too dingy (highs), patches, well it's a Casio & finally weight wise a littlw too heavy for what it puts out.

Great keyboard! Lots of options in terms of sounds, good sound quality, and it gets pretty loud without an amp.

The CT-X5000 is a fantastic KB. I have had no issues with it, whatsoever. Acquiring one through Sam Ash was very straightforward, and the total that I paid out-the-door was less than anywhere else. Some folks think: "Well the CTX KBs are somewhat difficult to use." That is not true; scratch their comments a bit and you find that they are unwilling to read the Manual; or, they think the CTX's should work differently, or the way their old KB did; or that it's too complicated. IF you read the manual, and do what it says -- you will be fine with this instrument. I think the system they have created is a work of art -- to have so many functions that you can edit on the 5000 is incredible! Well, it is unless you insist that every thing you buy MUST look like and operate like a 'cell phone' . Yes, you can create your own Styles (Casio calls them Rhythms.) And you can create your own sounds too. There are about a hundred different DSP effects you can apply, or edit, on your new sound (Casio calls them 'Tones'). Now for the best part: The way this KB SOUNDS! I bought mine because my old KB (which has a floppy disk drive in it) was getting to sound just too old; I didn't want to play it anymore. I need a different 'excuse' now because this instrument sounds GREAT! Comparisons: I think the CT-X5000 sounds better than the MZ-X500 (from others' writings). I also think, that it will give just as good of a sound as the Privia PX-S1000 and PX-S3000 -- for a lot less $$$. Gone are the days when you can say -- "well, it sounds like a Casio". Nope, not the CT-X line! The Piano sounds like a Piano! For fussy-folks: go buy an expensive piano sound and play thru your laptop. Niggles: Yes, reverse the Octave & Transpose buttons. Debating within the CT-X line? Tips: the 700/800 do not allow mixing the sounds or even changing the volume of layered sounds; but has the Learning System. 5000 adds Line Outputs & more options & Power & does better for live performances. Enjoy!
