This amp really gives you some bang for your buck. Built with the same classic Marshall craftsmanship that has made the brand world renowned, this amp features dual gain channel power and intricate tonal shaping. For the player that needs a diverse, powerful combo amp with awesomely customizable sound.

Classic Marshall Craftsmanship
The Marshall DSL40CR puts out 40-watts of tube power thru a 12” Celestion V-type speaker. This combo houses dual EL34 power tubes, paired with 4 ECC83 pre-amp tubes. Combined, they give this amp that classic, crowd-pleasing Marshall sound. The DSL40CR has five speaker outlets allowing you to pair it with external speakers and blast. It can also be used to record, sporting a standby function for silent recording.

Dual Gain Channel Power
With its dual channels, "Ultra Gain" and "Classic Gain," the Marshall DSL40CR has a wide variety of tones, from a nice clean to an extreme distortion. Switching between them is quick and easy, thanks to the included footswitch. Each channel on the Marshall DSL40CR features its own designated volume and gain controls for fast and simple tonal adjustments on each individual channel. The onboard EQ features Bass, Mid, Treble, and Presence controls to tailor your tone to perfection, plus a built-in, Reverb with "Classic" and "Ultra" shaping knobs. The DSL40CR even has two master volumes, so you can kick it up when you need your solo to stand out.

Intricate Tonal Shaping
The DSL40CR also features an attenuator switch which enables you to shift from 40-watts to 20-watts, to accommodate your needs. Whether you need a little less power in a studio session or full-on power for live performances, the attenuator has you covered. For advanced tonal shaping, the DSL40CR includes a Tone Shift to scoop your mid-range, which is useful for those extremely heavy riffs. It also has a Deep switch to give you with the classic bottom-end, thanks to the DSL amplifiers. As if that weren't enough, the DSL40CR also has an FX Loop and a Midi, to create endless varieties of sounds with your external pedals and midi controllers.

Marshall Tone

Four channels gives you lots of tonal possibilities that cover many genres of music. Half power switch is a nice option. However, half the power also means half the tone. V Type speaker is a really good Celestion speaker. All in all, I would recommend the amp.

Great amp!

So first of all,its pretty light for a good combo. You can dial up about 10 different great tones from clean to mega dirty. The reverb is a bit weak and its a little noisy but versitile and the speaker is great, glad that Marshall listened to feedback about previous speaker and changed it. Havent gigged with it yet but I know I'm gonna be fine. Now looking into 6 button footswitch to go with it.
