The Jackson Pro Series Dinky DK3M Electric Guitar is a true metal monster with a killer HSS pickup configuration and plenty of high-performance features. With premium features and outstanding vibe and performance, Jackson's Pro Series Dinky models provide the ultimate shred experience.
New for 2017, Jackson introduces an alternate take on this classic shape, featuring the same great appointments with all-new pickups.
Built with an HSS pickup configuration, the Pro Series Dinky DK3M is a metal monster. The JB TB-4 humbucking bridge pickup outputs revved up warm and aggressive harmonics, balanced with the perfect mix of sustain and distortion, and is the ideal complement to the all-new Strat® SSL-6 single-coil middle and neck pickups, which add sparkly tones and glassy cleans for a versatile sound that can take you from blues to metal. Master volume and tone controls shape the pickups' output, which can be further refined with the five-position blade switch for the precise voice required to bring your musical vision to life, while a recessed Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo bridge provides incredible sustain.
Other top-of-the-line features include an alder body, one-piece bolt-on maple neck (hand-rubbed urethane gel back finish) with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods, a 12"-16" compound radius maple fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and offset dot inlays, and a convenient thumbwheel truss rod butt adjust. Case not included.

The guitar came in great condition. However, as expected, it needed a full set-up. Since I was always planning to put on EB Steel Strings (.52-.10), I knew it would require a complete readjustment with the Floyd Rose. That said, now that everything is adjusted, it plays like I was hoping it would. The 2 Strat pickups give this guitar a great set of options for clean tones and the humbucker lets you get "dirty." I think the output on the pickups on this guitar are about 15% more than "normal" and with steel strings its like 35-40%. Since they are SD pickups, the sound quality, even with the extra output, is top of the line and sounds much better than active pickups. The ONLY thing I do not like (but not enough to knock off a star) are the frets along the binding are sharp. They need filled or something as it is noticeable.
As a whole, I am very pleased with the purchase. For anyone looking for a guitar that has crystal clear tones and is capable of getting dirty, this is a great choice. First Jackson I've played and owned, and I highly doubt it will be my last!
