A good choice for learning the bass guitar.

I purchased this instrument for the purpose of learning bass guitar. I figured I could learn in the acoustic mode and not have to get involved with amps and speakers. So far, I have found my rational to be a good one. I am learning how to play the instrument in its basic format. If I do it right, it sounds good to my ear. Can't ask for anything more.

It was a beautiful guitar and was excited to try it out although it came in chipped and wasn't given the chance to play it.

Good starter bass for beginners

5

Since I'm pretty much on lockdown, I decided to learn to play bass. The bass is very comfortable in my hand and taking online lessons helps. The tone is better than I expected.

Probably the best deal you'll get for the price

I can't get the intonation right but it's close enough to not be a huge problem. Other than that sounds pretty good. However when I ordered this the first time the Sales and sent it to the wrong location it took about a month to get the refund. However they didn't cut me a deal Second time around.

Solid but requires work

This is a solid learning instrument. The only reason it lost a star is because I had to do a fair bit of work to make it playable. There's the typical stuff you have to do to a new guitar, but this instrument's frets all had sharp edges sticking out of both sides of the neck. Since I'm not a fan of sliced up hands, I spent a good hour with a jeweler's file carefully smoothing down all of the fret edges. You have to go slowly and carefully so that you smooth down the metal, but don't damage the neck material. Otherwise, it plays nicely. No dead spots. No buzzing. Good tone up and down the neck, and across the strings. Definitely worth it!
