The Carlo Robelli UKB 325 Acoustic Electric Ukulele Bass is truly a groundbreaking short scale (20") bass that produces the same pitches as a standard bass instrument and is tuned in traditional bass tuning, EADG. This bass produces an incredibly big sound despite its diminutive size. The UKB325 boasts a sapele body, and carries a 16-fret fingerboard on a nato neck. The UKB325 can be amplified through an onboard pickup with a 3-band EQ. The Aquila strings provide a great bass feel with balanced tension. The UKB325 is a true joy to play. Other premium features include black tuners and a matte finish. A gig bag is included.

Great tone and easy on the fingers what's not to like...

Love the convenience of the short scale for practice and looking forward to using it live for an acoustic driven set. Urethane strings are gonna take some getting used to and a bit more stretching to get tuning stability.

Bought this for my daughter's 17th birthday. She loves it! Travel size and portable because it's a Uke... plug it into an amp and it thumps!

I was able to purchase the UKB325 at a great price right before Father's Day. I've been considering a uke bass for some time and decided to pull the trigger as I had a need for an acoustic bass that could come close to an upright sound. I'm an experienced bassist, own 8 solid body basses an have played in a classic rock cover band for the past 10 years. I had in mind to buy the Kala bass at 2.5x the price of the Carlo Robelli. But when I played them both side by side the differences were so minor that the decision was obvious. Onboard tuner is decent, 3 band EQ works well and the pickup output and preamp signal is noticeably louder than the Kala. There is also a low battery indicator. Comes with a decent gig bag as well. The workmanship is very good with no obvious defects, there are only a couple of sharpish fret ends but not so serious that I will need to do anything about it. Most people would probably not even notice. The Thundergut strings are excellent. The fretboard is flat like a uke. The neck is a comfortable width and profile with no dead spots, in fact the whole instrument sings and is very lively in my hands. I can coax a passable upright sound from it and it is just a lot of fun to play. The only negative aspect is the lack of fretboard side markers.....very easily rectified by a Sharpie marker. I would highly recommend this instrument for anyone wanting a bass uke for occasional performance and practice. I will also be using it for travel. Carlo Robelli, you hit a home run on this one!!!
