Description

The Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio Pack includes the compact Scarlett Solo USB audio interface, a large-diaphragm condenser microphone, closed-back headphones, and all the cables and software you need to start recording.

Sound just like you
The Scarlett Solo USB audio interface delivers all the core elements you need to record your best performance. Though compact, it still delivers the same class-leading sound quality and digital conversion as the rest of the latest Scarlett range. It has a single natural-sounding Scarlett mic preamp, a newly-designed instrument input and super-low latency*.

Connect the large diaphragm CM25 condenser mic, plug in your guitar and immediately capture studio-quality sound. Plug in the HP60 closed-back headphones for honest playback without any distracting background noises. Connect your speakers, turn up the volume and totally immerse yourself in sound.

* Super-low roundtrip latency was measured at 2.74ms, working at 96kHz with a 32 samples buffer on Logic Pro X, running on a Mac Pro and OS 10.11

New Generation - Better in every way
The second generation Scarlett range is packed full of upgrades. New super-low latency* will bring confidence to your performance, letting you record and monitor with software effects in real time. New metal gain controls and a sleeker red metal chassis underscore its improved industrial design, built to go anywhere. The Scarlett range also now operates at sample rates all the way up to 192kHz, and the input channels have evolved too.

The latest Scarlett mic preamp features a more even gain structure, so you can accurately set your levels, and the instrument input has also been completely redesigned so it can handle seriously hot guitar pick-ups. Finally, Focusrite have provided analogue protection circuitry across both the inputs and the outputs, to guard your interface against unwanted power surges.

All you need to record anywhere
Compact and portable enough to take anywhere, you won't even need a power supply; Scarlett Solo is connected and powered by a single USB cable. Scarlett Solo works with all major DAWs on Mac and PC. It also comes with the software and effects you need to start recording;  an exclusive version of Pro Tools | First Focusrite Creative Pack (featuring 12 additional plug-ins including the Eleven Lite for real life guitar amp emulations), Ableton Live Lite, the Softube Time and Tone Bundle, Focusrite's Red Plug-In Suite, 2GB of Loopmasters samples and more.

FOCUSRITE CREATIVE PACK
Also bundled with your Scarlett 2nd Gen audio interface, the Focusrite Creative Pack adds 12 powerful plugins to Pro Tools | First, all taken from Avid’s acclaimed Eleven Rack.

Awesome guitar tones are just a few clicks away with Eleven Lite, Focusrite’s exclusive cut-down edition of the Eleven MK II amp simulator. And if that doesn’t give you the edge and bite you’re after, follow it up with Black Op Distortion, a superb emulation of the Pro Co Rat pedal. Another classic stomp box reborn in software, Gray Compressor delivers the easy dynamics shaping of the Ross Compressor, and makes the perfect partner to the five-band Graphic EQ.

Focusrite Creative Pack doesn’t skimp on the more out-there signal processing, either, with Flanger, Vibe Phaser, Roto Speaker and Sci-Fi Ring Modulator serving up a spectacular range of mind-bending modulation-based treatments.Topping the collection off are the speed-up/slow-down effects of Vari-Fi Speed Shifter, the classy algorithmic ambience of Studio Reverb, the old-school delays of Tape Echo and – last but by no means least – the essential utility of InTune Digital Tuner.

Great equipment all around

5

I have been Focusrite for years and recently upgraded to the 2nd Gen models. As far a hardware goes there isn't a huge difference in quality other than the mic being much more clear and responsive. I have been using Cubase as my go-to for a while as that is what originally came with my hardware. I decided to give pro tools a try and I think it's much easier to learn. I don't know as much with it yet but I doubt it will take long to get used to it.

Great hardware, but the software is a mess!

4

The hardware works well. I like the microphone, even though I had read others have not. The controls are good and the lights that show levels work really well. All the features worked immediately with my Macbook and my monitors! The headphones are light and you can wear them for long periods without your ears hurting! I gave it 4 stars because of the software - there's a long list of software that comes with the product (that's great), but most of it is free anyway (like Pro Tools | First). The real pain is that you have to sign up with at least 4 and maybe 5 different web sites (including some kind of odd licensing service) to get the software, and some is incompatible (e.g. the Bias FX you get won't work with Pro Tools | First). This isn't Focusrite's issue, but Pro Tools | First has been a nightmare - not only are the instructions wrong for downloading it, once I was able to download it, it crashes on start up most every time. Pretty poor for a good company like AVID - I have renamed it Pro Tools | Last, since it is likely the last time I use it. Still, I'm very happy with the Focusrite hardware, but I'll need to get software on my own.

Compact and versatile, great interface for the price!

The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is a perfect interface for the beginner to the professional looking for a portable solution when traveling. With 2inputs and 2outputs, and separate headphone volume control, its a great companion when traveling, or when inspiration hits when not in the studio. The Mic Pres are clean and its even bundled with Ableton Live Lite and a couple of Focusrites top plugins. Excellent buy for the price point.

Preamp Heaven

5

I have been using Focusrite interfaces for over a year now, I don't think I will ever be going back. The only things I believe you can get better than this are going to be on the very high end (Universal Audio/etc.) . What you get, 2 combo jack preamps with high quality DSP and the recording quality is through the roof (Up to 192kHz)! It also has 2 line outs for your monitors. This is the perfect portable / bedroom / studio B recording interface. Love it.

Great Interface For The Price!

4

The Scarlett 2i2 is a great interface for any intro- to mid-level home recording set-up. It has 2 inputs for either mics or instruments, nice sounding pre-amps, and outputs for studio monitors and headphones. This unit sends signal and powers via USB and can do HD quality recording. You can't beat the quality you get out of this interface at this price!

Very Convenient in size and function

4

The size of the unit in itself is great for utilizing small studio spaces without taking away from great function. The fact that the product also includes protools makes it very useful for anyone looking to get started in recording. Getting the extra software such as addicted for keys is also a huge benefit!

Easy to use and affordable!

5

This audio input would be ideal for the musician just easing in to home-recording. The interface is super user-friendly and streamlined. I really appreciate how light-weight, compact and portable this interface is which can be useful for the musician on the go. Being able to bring an interface to a practice session and having an easy way to record on the spot is a nice benefit. The interface comes pre-loaded with 12 plugins that you could spend a ton of time playing with and exploring. Overall, I think this is a great interface for anyone interested in home recording while staying on a budget.
