The Simplest Way to Add Electronic Drum Sounds to Your Performances

The Roland SPD::ONE ELECTRO is a new type of digital percussion pad, one that allows any musician to add electronic sounds to their performances. It contains 22 iconic sounds, including powerful 808 kicks, fat snares, crisp hand claps, electronic cowbells, and more, and you can even import your own original audio data into one of the 12 internal sound banks. Once you’re ready to go, the SPD::ONE ELECTRO’s robust-yet-sensitive pad can be played with sticks, hands, or feet, and the trigger threshold settings are easily adjusted with intuitive controls.

Powered by batteries or AC, the portable SPD::ONE ELECTRO can be used on the floor or a tabletop, or mounted to any rig or drum setup with the included adapter. Operation is simple, even for those musicians who are not technical; just by using four knobs on the control panel, you can change the sound, volume, balance, and more. Whether you’re a drummer, percussion player, guitarist, DJ, or vocalist, the SPD::ONE ELECTRO is a simple and flexible way to expand your sound palette and invigorate your performances.

The Roland SPD::One series is perfect for so many applications. I personally enjoy using it for playing solo acoustic gigs. Its sturdy build let's me use my foot to create a musical metronome to keep myself in time as well as add a nice dynamic to my set when I set the pedal to clap mode.

This unit has 22 classic sounds that you can easily switch between and also gives you the ability add your own audio clips for triggering. It also has adjustable effects onboard. Do you need a sweet 808 kick to reinforce your drums or do you need to add your own sound loop to a song? Then this little pad is what you need!

love that I can import my own sounds

By

from edison

This drumpad is great for anyone looking to add any sample to their kit or performance. Some nice features about the pad is that fact that besides being loaded with all of the typical samples of a standard drum set and percussive instruments, it's also able to have anything you have sampled imported.

Great Way to Diversify Sounds

By

from Edison, NJ

Staff Reviewer

The SPD one digital percussion pad is hands down one of the most unique ways to diversify sounds in either a live, DJ or studio performance. Four knobs on the face of the device allow for a wide array of modulation to the 12 sounds preloaded onto this particular piece. Its versatile enough to be played on the go or in the studio, placed on the floor or mounted on to any drum rig.

    SPD One

This is not the bigger (and more expensive) SPD, but it is a perfect little gem with 22 sounds. Great for someone who doesn't play drums and is a great add on for the drummer who wants all of the sounds of the 808's and others to add a little more functionality to their kits in terms of diversifying.

Great way to make a hybrid kit

This little box is a great tool for any acoustic drummer to add electronic sounds to their setup without investing in bulky/expensive setups. Everything is super simple to dial in and since it's all in one small box it's not going to complicate or get in the way of your setup. This is perfect to add that extra little something to your drum setup live but again without the hassles and expenses usually associated with adding electronics no modules, triggers, pads, extra cables, stands etc. Just one simple little box that plugs in and can be placed just about anywhere on your kit. Be sure to check out all the SPD one products as each offers something a little different this green box specializes in the Electronic style sounds/samples.
