The WAV's Polar pickup system includes a convenient toggle switch between Arco and Pizzicato mode. The piezo-powered passive electronics deliver an amazingly natural tone with unlimited overhead for extraordinary performance without the need or hassle of batteries.

Solved a big problem with tight space venues. Sound is not a whole lot better than a bar quality box bass but what it does have is some nice clear tone, the pickup gives consistent sound across all the strings. So I can play softly and the notes on the G sound as nice as the notes on the D A or E strings , nice and even. I found the high end a bit small and tinny but I'll play with it and see if we can't fix that with some technique. The sound of the bow I tied with it was so so. But I'm terrible with the bow so give it a chance. One of the other guys in my band plays it when I have one of my guitar tunes and he likes the dots so he can stay in tune. I didn't know it had "dots" , now that I do I'm guessing that will just throw me off as I play by listening not looking.
