The American Classic® line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs for fuller sound, the Classics are turned from select hickory – a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable.

The wood tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response. The nylon tips are similar in size and shape to their wood counterparts, providing enhanced performance and a feel closer to their original wood tip models. Nylon tips are the most durable and brightest sounding on cymbals.

What more can you say about a 7A stick? Oh, it's Vic Firth!

Comments about Vic Firth 7A American Classic Hickory Nylon Tip Drumsticks:

The industry standard workhorse, you probably know them and love them.

I bought the nylon tipped version, as I like how they make a ride more ping-y.

I had been quietly using VF Echo sticks for years.
Recently got in a louder band, and had to go heavier, so it's back to old faithful.

These are really great sticks.
ONLY drawback, is I MIGHT like another 1/2" of length, but then again, maybe not.

I DID first buy a pair of 5A nylon by mistake, and ABSOLUTELY love THEM!
They are not in my hand right now, but I think they are fatter, and a bit longer than the 7A.
They seem very light, fill my hand better, have better balance, and are great for practice.
Might be a bit loud out live, depending on the venue, set-up, etc.
Will be buying some more of those.

I would really like to try the new Maple version, but it is NOT available in nylon tipped.

Comments about Vic Firth 7A American Classic Hickory Nylon Tip Drumsticks:

These sticks are really strong. I'm a very hard hitter and I used to use 5B's, and with these I still get all the CRACK out of my snare! Get these!
